Everyone joins at their own level
Singing, playing an instrument, moving to a rhythm, or listening from the edge of the room. All of those count as taking part, and we treat them that way.
What we do
Nobody is performing for an audience. A session works when the people in the room take part in it, in whatever way suits them that day.
In a session
Singing, playing an instrument, moving to a rhythm, or listening from the edge of the room. All of those count as taking part, and we treat them that way.
What works for one group will not work for another. We plan with the staff who know the participants before deciding what a session contains.
Volunteers are trained to follow each person’s needs and pace. Nobody is put on the spot, and nobody is spoken down to.
Working together
A school, clinic, care facility, or community organization tells us about the people they serve and what they hope music might add.
Your educators, caregivers, or clinical team shape the session. They know the group. We are the ones who need briefing, not the other way round.
Training happens before anyone meets your group, covering the activities themselves and how to run them respectfully.
Your staff stay present and involved throughout. We are adding to what they already do.
We run inclusive, volunteer-led music enrichment for children and individuals with special needs and disabilities, working alongside the educators, caregivers, and clinical staff who already support them.
We are not licensed music therapists, and we do not provide clinical music therapy or healthcare services. Our programs are meant to sit alongside the work of qualified healthcare and therapy professionals, not to replace it.
You don’t need to be a brilliant musician. Patience and enthusiasm get you further than technique, and we train you before you lead anything.
Sign up to volunteerSchools, clinics, care facilities, community organizations. If music could add something to what you already do, let’s talk about it.
